Red Bird Beads — 2015

IMG_0783 IMG_0815 IMG_0819

In 2009 I took a glass bead lampworking class with Ania Kyte of Turtle Beads in Mission, BC, and my desire to ”create a million beads” was born. I’m the owner of Red Bird Beads and spend many hours a week at the torch, perfecting my technique, experimenting with color and simply loving the feeling of working and designing with molten glass.

I’m an active member and on the executive of the Pacific Pyros Glass Beadmakers. In the past I studied Fine Arts (Art History, Two-Dimentional Art and Drawing) at the University of Saskatchewan. I worked in the Art Department at the Banff Centre, School of Fine Art and the Walter Phillips Gallery at the Banff Centre, Banff, Alberta.
Shown Art at – Harrison Festival of the Arts, Minter Garden Christmas Market, Party in the Park, Milner Garden Market, Langley Garden Club spring sale, Evergreen Hall Christmas and Mother’s Day Markets, Campbell’s Gold Meadery Christmas Market.
